[Bucharest 2015] Modern Aspects of Quantum Field Theory

The second Seminar in the CERN – SEENET-MTP PhD training program “Modern Aspects of Quantum Field Theory – Bucharest 2015” will be held in the period 8 – 14 November 2015 in Bucharest, Romania.

The Program consists in a series of intense, self-connected, one-week seminars for PhD students.

This second event of the program, “Bucharest – 2015”, is mainly intended for PhD students who study High Energy Physics and related fields. The topics of the school cover modern aspects of Quantum Field Theory and applications.

CERN – SEENET-MTP PhD Training Program continues

phd-logoWe are pleased to announce that, after the first, successful, training seminar that was held in Belgrade (21-27 June 2015) in the framework of the CERN – SEENET-MTP PhD Training program, the program will be continued during autumn 2015, and during next 2 years.

The SEENET-MTP Office and the Program Committee are inviting the full SEENET-MTP member nodes, as well as the other nodes and partner institutions to submit the new or updated proposals and plans for next three years. It would be an expression of concrete interest in participation in this program and a great contribution to create a self-consisting and efficient plan of activities. It is advised to use the same form which was provided previously and send the form to [e2i]office@seenet-mtp.info[/e2i]

[Belgrade 2015] Supergravity

We are pleased to announce the first PhD seminar in the framework of the CERN-SEENET-MTP PhD Training Program. The topic of the seminar is Supergravity. The seminar will be held at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, Serbia from June 21 (arrival day) to June 27 (departure day) 2015. The lectures include:

  • Leonardo Castellani, INFN Torino:
    Supergravity I
  • Hagen Triendl, CERN
    Extended and Gauged Supergravity
  • Voja Radovanovic, University of Belgrade:
    Introduction to Supersymmetry
  • Branislav Cvetkovic, University of Belgrade:
    Poincaré gauge theory

The lectures will be followed by the exercise classes.

The students who are interested in participating should apply no later than the 1st of June by filling the registration form on this webpage.

Local expenses will be covered for the students whose applications are accepted.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed for a number of students depending on the available budget.
