We are delighted to inform you, that due to some additional support from CERN, EPS and SEENET-MTP, the Seminar/Minischool
Mathematical methods in Gravitation and Cosmology
will be held in Bucharest from November 13 to 17, 2024.
The confirmed lecturers and topics:
- Calin Lazaroiu (IFIN-HH) – Towards testing quantum gravity using cosmological observations
- Cioroianu Eugen (Univ. of Craiova) – Various Formulations of Gravitational Interaction
- Katarzina Grabowska (Univ. of Warsaw) – Contact geometry and applications in high energy physics
- Rafal Suszek (Univ. of Warsaw) – Gauge symmetries and their higher analogues,
not yet confirmed
- Stefan Carstea (IFIN-HH) – Introduction to classical dynamical systems and attractors (TBC)
- Konstantinos Siampos (AUTh Thessaloniki) – (TBA/TBC)
The Minischool will take place on the Bucharest – Magurele platform in the seminar room of the Department of Theoretical Physics of IFIN-HH and in the National Library of Physics located nearby.
Participants should plan to arrive in Magurele on the 13th of November.
The lectures will start from a introductory level and build up to the research level.
They will be followed by tutorials/exercises and discussions.
Registration will open soon and end on October 21st, 2024.
Support for accommodation and/or travel will be provided for a limited number of participants.
